Hvem er kurset for?

This course is for you if you:

  • Use tools and equipment in your work that generate heat, fire, or sparks.
  • Want instruction in hot work to prevent accidents during execution.
  • Wish to gain basic knowledge of fire theory, fire prevention, and the use of heat-generating tools.
  • Need to meet customer and insurance company requirements for training in hot work.
  • Want to ensure a safe working environment with a focus on worker safety and avoid fines from the Danish Working Environment Authority (Arbejdstilsynet).

Please note: This course does not issue a DBI certificate (the small plastic card) but a certificate from Lekon Rådgivning. Some insurance companies and customers may specifically require a DBI certificate.

What is Hot Work?

Any work that produces or has the potential to produce flames, sparks, or heat is categorized as hot work. This course provides fundamental fire safety knowledge, as well as an understanding of what hot work is and how to perform it safely. When hot work is carried out, most insurance companies require employers to document that employees performing the work have been instructed in this type of task. With this course, each employee receives documentation of instruction in the form of a certificate.
This course is designed for electricians, plumbers, roofers, mechanics, sheet metal workers, and others who use tools, equipment, or work methods that generate heat or pose a fire hazard in their daily work. Please note that this course serves as an instruction only and should be supplemented with practical exercises. Take our interactive e-learning course anytime and anywhere that suits you, and receive proof of instruction in hot work.
This course is based on DBI Guideline 10, Part 1 & 2, DBI Guideline 38, and DBI’s Guideline for Basic Firefighting. ⚠ Please note: This course does not issue a DBI certificate (the small plastic card) but a certificate from Lekon Rådgivning. Some insurance companies and customers may specifically require a DBI certificate.
Once you complete the course, you will receive a certificate via email with the completion date. The certificate can be printed and stored as proof that you have been instructed in the risks and precautions of hot work. The certificate is valid for five years from the date of issue.
After completing the course, you will automatically receive your certificate via email. This certificate serves as documentation that you have been instructed in hot work safety.
